We just wanted to send a note to thank you for helping us find our new dog.
After 16 years of Shelties, we lost our last pup, Augusta a little more than a month ago.
A ‘dog house’ isn’t the same without a pet, and we happy that we found you on line.
Merlin, the 6 yr. old Retriever/Chow mix, seems to be a good fit for us. He was great on the ride home and promptly christened the front yard upon arrival. Since getting home, he has left his mark on every tree, shrub and planter in the yard. Also, Merlin has already met the neighbors (and their dogs) on both sides of us and has gotten his first brushing on the patio.
We’ve considered changing his shelter name from Merlin to Stanley (after the Stanley Cup). He kinda looks like a Stanley. It may not make much difference because he doesn’t seem to respond to any name or whistle or clap, but is a great tail-wagger. (we’ll have to work on commands) So far, he hasn’t barked at anyone or anything, but has a cute sneeze.
Many thanks to Sue, Kathy, Marty and Dr. Arkush for helping us with our adoption.
Here is a picture of Stanley meeting Beckett, the neighbor’s Rat Terrier who came over to introduce herself.
Thanks, Tom & Cindy Wozniak (and Stanley/Merlin)
