Just wanted to drop you a line to let you know that “Nell” is doing great with us!Because Nell was a shelter name, we decided to christen her with a new name, Flavia, which she has smoothly adjusted to.
She is getting along great with our dog Nero, and as she has gotten more comfortable in her new environment, she has begun to assert her personality.
This includes barking when she hears people or pets coming and going from our building (she has a hearty bark), and also letting us know when she thinks our walk shouldn’t end, but should continue :). Like with Nero, finding and chasing squirrels and bunnies are a top priority when she is outside.
She is eating well and has made herself comfortable in all of the rooms (and on all of the furniture) of our house.
She’ll be starting some training soon, but it’s clear she’s had some previously, as she knows basic commands and is very well-behaved.
