Happy Adoption Day Herman
It took a whole year . . . . but Herman finally found his forever home. Sometimes it takes a group of people to really join together to search for that perfect home. Herman was lucky enough to be the type of dog to bring out that passion in the humans who love him. He has bounced around our different kennels for a year, everyone who worked with him and cared for him, loved him. They couldn’t understand why he was still waiting. But, thanks to some amazing kennel workers (pictured here, hugging him for the last time) and a volunteer who wouldn’t quit on him, Herman is one happy boy!! He starts his real life today!! Living with some wonderful people, another dog, a huge yard to roll in the grass and run (like he loves to do!). Enjoy it, Herman!!! You are loved by so many . . . and deserve it!!! Happy rest of your life!!
Happy Adoption Day Winnie
It’s a very special day for Winnie!! She found her new home and her new family! This wonderful family read it and followed the comments. They kept thinking about her and just felt she was the right dog for them. They came to see her today . . . . and took her home! We are all so excited for her, even though we will miss her so much!! Winnie is a special dog to all of us at Animal Care Center and Help Save Pets. Everyone had to say “Good-bye” and give her a hug. We wish all our dogs could be so lucky! Happy Adoption Day, Winnie. They are a very lucky family to have picked you!!
Happy Adoption Day Mickey
Finally, someone said “I want Mickey!” We have been waiting since July for someone to see what we see in Mickey. A wonderful family decided to see if we really did know what we were talking about. Mickey did us proud. He was such a good boy during his foster to adopt. They decided they couldn’t live without him. What a happy day for Mickey and all of us who have watched him wait . . . and wait . . . and wait. He grew up with us and that’s a hard thing to watch, knowing what a great dog he is and seeing him get passed over time and again. But, not today!! Mickey is sleeping in his new house, knowing he really lives there and has his own family, his own backyard. He’s home . . . finally. Good dog, Mickey!!!
Happy Adoption Day Smitty
Smitty has a new home. . . . with an over-the-road trucker!!! Smitty has been with us since April. We have gotten very attached to this boy. But, so happy to see him find a home where he will have a constant companion and a buddy for life. So long, Smitty! Enjoy the open road. A new adventure every day. You deserve the best!
Happy Adoption Day Star
Star has finally found her forever home!! Star has been with us since Dec. of last year. She came to us pregnant and had nine beautiful puppies. She was a wonderful mom and loved her puppies. She waited and waited, while all her puppies were adopted, and no one came for her. She was always a little too excited and happy, so no one took the time to really see the wonderful dog she is. Her new family took her home on a foster to adopt to see how their dog would do with her . . . .and they are best friends!!! They say no one can believe she was with us for so long. She is a wonderful dog, listens well, and is very well-behaved. So happy for Star and her new family!!! Be good, Star! We love you!

The volunteers who helped include: Frank, Mindy and Jackson Judd, Dave and Linda Sobieski, Hillary Hammer, Jamie Surdynski, and Dean and Nancy Gearhart. Homer also made an appearance both dates and many of the kids liked the “BIG” dog who just happen to have candy.
