Adoption coordinators are on site 5 to 7 days a week to help, give direction and evaluate/process adoption applications. You’ll be partnered with an experienced adoption counselor at first so you won’t be on your own. This position requires strong communication skills, as well as the ability to handle both cats and dogs.
Volunteers need to be dependable and age 18 or older.
For more information, email HSP at hspvolunteer@aol.com and someone will get back to you OR download the Volunteer Application.
You can mail the application to the address listed on the form or you can drop it off at any of our partner clinics.
Please understand that Help Save Pets receives many applications to volunteer every week. Since this animal rescue is located within several different animal hospitals, it is important that we not exceed our volunteer capacity. Therefore Help Save Pets offers new volunteer training approximately 5 times a year.
If you submit your application to our organization, you may not hear back from us immediately, however if you include an email address on your application or a phone number to be contacted at, someone will be in contact with you and invite you to a scheduled orientation as they become available.
Occasionally opportunities are available to assist our organization through public events, whereas the volunteers do not need lengthy training. If you would like to be considered for these events, please be sure to check off EVENTS on your application and you may be called to help!
Please also note that we do NOT accommodate community service hours at this time.
If you would like to explore volunteer opportunities with Help Save Pets, review the slide show below to understand who we are and what we do. Once you review this presentation you will be eligible to attend an orientation session as the next step towards volunteering with us.
